Partnership of six state agencies
A new integrated campaign launched last week promoting the state of Minnesota as the “Bike Friendly State.”
A partnership of six state agencies are behind the campaign by Colle+McVoy. The state has more bike commuters per capita, thousands of miles of trails and the largest bike sharing program in America and they wanted to rightfully declare their love for bicycling - and in doing so, advocate even more bicycle use and attract more tourists.
Called Pedal Minnesota, the campaign encourages more people to get on bikes more often. The integrated campaign combines a video, digital components launched from the new website, PedalMN.com which provides a source for information on bicycling, including mapping tools, lists of biking events, personal tips and trip ideas from bicyclists across the state. Across the state are “Tune-Up Shelters” – bus shelters were transformed into pop-up tune-up stations offering free bike services and manned by mechanics on weekends.
