Sundance Winner Eugene Jarecki

Director Eugene Jarecki’s THE HOUSE I LIVE IN brought home the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is now ready to deliver a resounding message about America’s War on Drugs, which Jarecki believes is quickly becoming “a Holocaust in slow motion,” destroying impoverished communities at home and abroad. Jarecki stopped by SCREEN to talk with our Mike McNamara about what led him to tackle this often-overlooked and universally misunderstood crisis in our country. Per MM’s request, Jarecki closes the interview with some profound advice for his fellow documentary filmmakers... Not to be missed!
