'Chicago Fire', 'Mob Doctor' Picked Up

Together NBC and Fox have picked up two pilots filmed in Chicago, “Chicago Fire” and “Mob Doctor." So where will these series be shooting? Here’s the scoop...

From Universal Television and “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf’s Wolf Films, “Chicago Fire” stars Jesse Spencer (“House”) in an action-driven drama that explores the lives of those in the Chicago Fire Department. NBC has ordered a full twelve-episode season and will be shooting in Chicago.

The script for the “Chicago Fire” pilot was written by Derek Hass and Michael Brandt. They will be executive producers with Wolf, Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski. Lead cast includes Taylor Kinney (“Shameless,” “Vampire Diaries”), Monica Raymund (“The Good Wife”) and Lauren German (“Hawaii Five-O”).

In other amazing news, Fox is heading back to Chicago to film the series “Mob Doctor,” a drama that stars Jordana Spiro (“My Guys”) as a young thoracic surgeon with roots in the south side Chicago neighborhood of Bridgeport. She juggles her career with her debt to the Chicago Mob.
