John Kavanagh Lands At Lakeshore AV

Lakeshore Audiovisual, Inc. (LSAV) recently named John Kavanagh Vice President of Business Development.
The announcement was made by Michael Giglio, President of the Chicago-based company specializing in corporate communications, audiovisual staging, special events and conventions.
“I am very excited to have John as a member of our team,” said Giglio. “John’s senior level skill set will be used to promote progressive growth for LSAV. John has a complete understanding of our industry; particularly the needs of our clients.”
Kavanagh joins LSAV with over 30 years industry experience; 27 of those years at Show Department (Chicago). Kavanagh served in numerous capacities at Show Department: sales, show management, general manager, technical direction, client development and ultimately as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Kavanagh began his career at Audio Visual Techniques and, prior to that, he spent four years at the Old Town Players Theater starting as a lighting apprentice and moved into technical direction and stage management.
At LSAV, Kavanagh will focus on building client relationships and sales, enhancing the client sales experience, developing brand recognition and strategic growth. He will continue to work with clients in both a project management and technical direction role.
Meeting and Event Specialist Cheri Herzog has worked with Kavanagh during the past 18 years.
“He must have instilled trust immediately for us to have worked together for so long,” Herzog said. “I would not want to do any sizable show without him. He is grace under pressure.”
Kavanagh is a lifelong resident and native of Chicago.
