CHICAGO FIRE Ratings Up, NBC Orders Five Scripts

Following this week's ratings bump of about 20 percent, NBC has ordered five additional scripts for the new television drama, "Chicago Fire."

The new show, from Universal Television and “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf, “Chicago Fire” stars Jesse Spencer (House) in an action-driven drama that explores the lives of those in the Chicago Fire Department. It premiered October 10th and saw a slight ratings decline in week two, but received a substantial bump in week three to 6.3 million and a 1.8 rating. The show follows another Wolf mainstay, "Law & Order: SVU."

"Chicago Fire" is shot entirely on location in Chicago. The ensemble cast includes Chicago actor Christian Stolte, Naperville native David Eigenberg, Taylor Kinney, Teri Reeves, Eamonn Walker, and Lauren German. The script for the pilot was written by Derek Hass and Michael Brandt. They are executive producers with Wolf, Danielle Gelber, Peter Jankowski and Joe Chappelle.
