Hootenanny’s Metzger creates ‘The Dramatic Moment’ for Kraft

Hootenanny editor Graham Metzger recently teamed with agency The Escape Pod to create “The Dramatic Moment,” a new Kraft commercial for the Lunchables packaged food line.
The spot creates a suspended moment in time, as a lunchroom waits in anticipation for what food will be revealed out of a boy’s lunchbox.

“This was a great project to work on,” Metzger says. “I loved taking a generic, everyday moment and finding ways to add drama. Every layer of the spot, from performances to music to sound design, just upped the suspense and humor. And it’s always great to work with the guys from The Escape Pod.”
Handling production on the agency side was Executive Producer Kent Kwiatt, with Executive Creative Director Vinny Warren helming creative. Art Director Allan Stevenson and Writer Jeff Kwaitek rounded out the creative team.
Executive Production Don Avila produced for Hootenanny. Assisting Metzger was Assistant Editor Hannah Whelchel, as well as smoke finish with Jim Annerino. Sound mixing and design was helmed by Bam Studios’ Dave Leffel and Matt Sauro. Nolo’s Mike Matusek colored the spot, and music was created by Scandal Music.
