Line-up Announced for Midwest Advertising Community Shorts Night

The Midwest Independent Film Festival has announced the line-up for their fourth annual Advertising Community Shorts Night, set for Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Here’s the full rundown:

MIDWEST PREMIERE! ADVANTAGE: WEINBERG. Official Selection, LA Comedy Shorts Festival. Prep sophomore Philip Weinberg orchestrates a series of unbelievable 'coincidences' to grab the attention of an older girl. Directed by David Singer, produced by Chicago-based Concentrated.

MIDWEST PREMIERE! MOONBEAMS. A reimagining of the classic "boy meets girl" tale. Directed by Sam Macon, edited by Mark R. Smith, both of RADAR Studios, for the indie group Family Band.

FESTIVAL PREMIERE! RITUALS: JEFF TWEEDY. We join Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy (pictured right) in his hometown Chicago before his annual show at the Vic. Enjoy this intimate look at Jeff Tweedy's rehearsal process, family time and pre-show fan interactions.

FESTIVAL PREMIERE! THE PROMISE. MMA fighter Rad Martinez aspires to make it to the UFC -- a challenge complicated by his almost round-the-clock dedication to taking care of his brain-damaged father. Created for ESPN's Emmy Award-winning series E:60 by Schaumburg-based Evolve Digital Media's Joel & Jesse Edwards, co-directed by Madison, WI filmmaker Bill Roach.

FESTIVAL PREMIERE! FINGERHOLD. The first official music video from Ramona Falls' 2nd LP, "Prophet." Produced by Chicago filmmakers Thom Glunt and Justin Reid Tvedt.

CHICAGO PREMIERE! WHISPERING DANNY. Compelling portrait of a tattoo artist from Kansas City-based commercial director Austin Walsh.

FESTIVAL PREMIERE! MOON DIE. A man stranded on a lonely planet falls in love with a woman on the edge of space. Directed by Protokulture's Ben Christie.

CHICAGO PREMIERE! THE WHEEL. A whimsical, visually imaginative tale of a dutiful young man, fated to maintain the balance of the world - and his mischievous sister, determined to test the balance. Directed by Wisconsin-based filmmaking team of director John Roberts, cinematographer Carlo Besasie and screenwriter Ryan Plato.

CHICAGO PREMIERE! WAR AGAIN. Directed and animated by Fort Wayne, IN commercial director Paul Griswold.

OTHER. Offical Selection, 2012 South by Southwest Film Festival. Patrick is a brilliant doctor, in an obsessive race to alter his own grim prognosis. During a series of unconventional experiments, he discovers a scientific loophole unlike anything he had ever imagined. From the team of Vitamin creative director Daniel DelPurgatorio, producer Larissa Shames and editor Matt Egan.
