Commercial and corporate media production company, Blueyed Pictures (BLU), has signed award-winning documentary director Nico Sabenorio.
“We are such big fans of Nico’s work,” says Blueyed Pictures founder Jamee Natella and Executive Producer Lorraine Schreyer. “We’re excited to share his passion for spreading awareness on social issues in such a brilliantly cinematic way.”
Upon joining the Blueyed roster of directors, Nico said he was, “…psyched to be joining Blueyed. I look forward to merging storytelling styles with a team that has an exceptional reputation for working across multiple platforms and numerous brands.”
Nico Sabenorio is passionate about propagating awareness of social issues through his emotional non-fiction projects. His next project is an anti-prescription drug campaign for DrugFree.org and Amnesty International, which debuts on National Medicine Abuse Day, September 23, 2012. On the same day, an interactive display at Grand Central Station will premiere as well, accompanying the awareness campaign. Nico was recently nominated for 2 MTV Video Music Awards, for his work on “The Ballad of Hollis Brown” by Rise Against and “The Fighter” by Gym Class Heroes (which featured Olympic gymnast John Orozco). In 2010, he won ‘Best Short Documentary’ at Slamdance for “Bout That Bout”.
