August 23, 2013 by Mike McNamara
Chicago-based Writer/Director Frank T. Ziede is launching a six-part web-series called BLACK.
The US government is forced to create a top-secret black ops group due to a series of attacks that target the CIA on American soil. Shot over five days in two states for roughly $10,000.00, BLACK is a high action web series crafted in the style of the feature film ACT OF VALOR, the highly successful video game franchise CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE and the hit Fox television series 24. The first season of Black contains six episodes and will feature various behind the scenes segments as well.
The series was created by writer/director Frank T. Ziede, cast includes Mikal Vega, Wesley John, Max Mullen. The series features several real military veterans including Marines, Army Rangers and US Navy Seals, including Vega, whose credits also include G.I. JOE: RETALIATION and TRANSFORMERS: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.
Ziede is hosting a private screening of the series downtown next Saturday for cast, crew, sponsors and press, but you can enjoy the first episode this instant at www.blackthewebseries.com.
