CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER in Theaters April 4th
April 3, 2014 by Screenmag
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER ran amok over the rest of the world last weekend, bringing in $75 million-plus from 32 territories, and now is set to begin its U.S. campaign, targeting a projected $90 million bow or higher.
The expected launch for the CAPTAIN AMERICA sequel from Disney-owned mega-power Marvel Entertainment would make it the largest April opening ever domestically, jumping Universal’s FAST FIVE race-car action-thriller, which bowed with $86 million and change in 2011.
Lots of Midwest connections with this blockbuster... CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER was filmed in Ohio last summer (read about that here and here)... and Chicago-based Sarofsky recently completed the main titles for the feature (read all about that project here).
