Moviemaker Names Chicago #1
January 22, 2014 by Mike McNamara
The good news just keeps coming. Fresh off the announcement of a record year for Chicago in 2013, we have just heard that Chicago has been named "the best place to live and work as a moviemaker in 2014," topping Moviemaker Magazine's highly anticipated annual list of big cities.
Mark Sells of Moviemaker declares that "when it comes to moviemaking, Chicago is as red-hot as they get..." Naturally, we agree. Sells goes on to praise the robust Chicago landscape, the invaluable Illinois Film Production Credit and the continued support for cinema in the city.
Here's the official list of top ten big cities: 10) San Francisco 9) Memphis 8) Portland 7) Philadelphia 6) Boston 5) Seattle 4) Los Angeles 3) Austin 2) New York
MovieMaker‘s Winter 2014 issue will be available on newsstands January 28. In the meantime, you can enjoy the full article here.
