Alicia Silverstone Set to Star in Brody/Ryan Comedy

Multiple sources have confirmed that Alicia Silverstone will star in the romantic comedy WHO GETS THE DOG?, which will be produced by Chicago's Reid Brody and Bill Ryan of 2DS Productions. Filming is set to being on December 3rd in Chicago.

This comedy centers on a divorcing couple who are fighting over custody of... you guessed it, their beloved dog. “Alicia Silverstone brings a perfect blend of comedy and heart to a wonderful movie that is extremely relatable, dealing not only with relationships, but our love of pets and the role they play in families,” Brody said.

Steven C. Miller on board to direct this screenplay written by Matt J.L. Wheeler & Rick Rapoza; Epic Pictures Group will executive produce.

2DS Productions was founded in 2008 by Reid Brody and financier Paul Kim, with the mission of creating world-class entertainment in conjunction with Brody’s post-production company, Filmworkers Club. Producer and long-time John Hughes collaborator Bill Ryan joined 2DS in 2010.

2DS debuted with the holiday film NOTHING LIKE THE HOLIDAYS (2008), followed by the comedy club doc PHUNNY BUSINESS (2012). Its most recent movie, the comedy BAD JOHNSON, starring Cam Gigandet and Jamie Chung, is currently available on VOD and home video, click here to enjoy that film today.
