True/False Hit ALMOST THERE at Midwest Independent Film Festival Tuesday

First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival will present the "hilarious, heartbreaking and haunting” (Post-Tribune) documentary ALMOST THERE at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema on Tuesday, April 7th, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. This Chicago-made masterwork from Kartemquin Films was the breakout hit at the prestigious True/False Film Festival earlier this month, drawing critical acclaim and passionate viewer responses. Jeff Truesdell of People Magazine deemed ALMOST THERE “Our favorite film at True/False: accidental, affectionate, surprising, affirming. See it.” Co-directors Dan Rybicky and Aaron Wickenden will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.

The April 7th Midwest Independent Film Festival is being co-presented by Columbia College Chicago Cinema Art + Science. ALMOST THERE co-director Dan Rybicky is currently an Associate Professor in Cinema Art + Science at Columbia College Chicago.
