ANGUISH Chicago Premiere Set for Tuesday November 3rd

Tuesday, November 3rd is set for the Chicago Premiere of highly anticipated thriller ANGUISH, hosted by First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. This Chicago-made thriller was recently deemed "the creepiest and most resonant American independent horror film since IT FOLLOWS" by Fangoria and marks the directorial debut of Chicagoan Sonny Mallhi, whose producer credits include the Jennifer Lawrence thriller THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, horror standout THE STRANGERS and the Sandra Bullock/Keanu Reeves hit THE LAKE HOUSE. Writer/director Sonny Mallhi will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.
Film Synopsis: Inspired by true events, ANGUISH follows a teenage girl Tess who grows to understand her intense psychological problems are actually the result of a supernatural ability which allows spirits to possess her body. Now she must decide whether to fight to remain in control of herself, or allow the soul of a recently deceased girl who refuses to accept her death to take over her body for good. Starring Ryan Simpkins, alongside Karina Logue and Annika Marks; Chicago cast includes Cliff Chamberlain and Paulina Olszynski. Written, directed and produced by Sonny Mallhi.
