Jason White Answers Five Questions
September 3, 2015 by Screenmag
In the latest installment of our regular running feature, Jason White, executive creative director at Leviathan, answers Five Questions With SCREEN.
SCREEN: Can you cook? If so, what's your go-to dish?
WHITE: Yes, love cooking. My Italian Nana taught me how to cook meals at an early age. I do make a pretty mean lasagna.
SCREEN: What's your guilty pleasure TV?
WHITE: Definitely AMC's Walking Dead. We should all feel guilty, for shame.
SCREEN: What's the last movie you saw in a theater?
WHITE: MAD MAX, FURY ROAD. I cruelly tricked my date into seeing it with me, and she's still a little angry about it.
SCREEN: What's your favorite place to spend a week? A weekend? Two weeks?
WHITE: Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, a small island just east of the main island. It was a U.S. Navy testing ground for many years and recently gave it back to the local community. It's now a best-kept secret national wildlife refuge escape spot with little tourism and few resorts. Wild horses run on perfectly empty white sand beaches with azure-colored waters. There, our little secret.
SCREEN: What's your favorite gadget?
WHITE: I have a small handheld Pico projector that I use in my experimental art shows as well as throwing fun movies on walls.
SCREEN: What's your favorite American city? Foreign city?
WHITE: It changes every year, but right now I'm obsessed with Tokyo, Japan. I've been there twice in past few years, and I get so excited and inspired. It's also the only foreign place I've been that truly makes me feel a million miles from home and normal.
