11 Dollar Bill's Clark Jackson Answers Five Questions

In the latest installment of our popular feature, Clark Jackson, editor/colorist at 11 Dollar Bill, answers Five Questions with SCREEN.

SCREEN: Can you cook? If so, what's your go-to dish?

JACKSON: I've been known to find my way around a kitchen. Rosemary and garlic rubbed lamb chops on grilled polenta with arugula and a lemon anchovy emulsion sounds good today.

SCREEN: What's your guilty pleasure TV?

JACKSON: I'll get sucked into a home improvement show if it's an interesting project.

SCREEN: What's the last movie you saw in a theater?

JACKSON: BLOWOUT at the Roger Ebert Film Festival in Champaign. A murder thriller from 1981 where a sound recordist witnesses an accident and uncovers a murder plot by syncing his audio roll with film from the accident. He does this using analogue editing equipment of the time period...not a computer in sight.

SCREEN: What's your favorite gadget?

JACKSON: Brix Hydrometer - now, with a little math, I can figure out what the proof of that home barreled whiskey is!

SCREEN: What's your favorite place to spend a week? A weekend? Two weeks?

JACKSON: A week: hiking the rainforests and diving the reefs of Belize.

A weekend: too many places to consider. Living in Chicago means anyplace in North America is easy to get to.

Two weeks: Hasn't happened yet, but touring Japan, Central Europe or South America would fit the bill.
