Chicago post house Hootenanny has hired creative editor Nikki Vapensky to join their editorial team. With nearly 25 years of experience, Nikki comes to Hootenanny from Whitehouse Post, where she spent most of her editing career.
Nikki’s passion for storytelling and her ability to do so so effectively have helped her land commercial work for major clients like McDonald’s, Allstate, Walmart, Disney, and Always for their award-winning “Like a Girl” campaign. Most recently, she worked on Jello’s “Delightfully Honest” campaign with Leo Burnett. She also has extensive experience collaborating with top agencies including DDB, Y&R, Burrell and Cramer-Krasselt.
Nikki looks forward to the new opportunities that Hootenanny has to offer. “I really love that it is a woman-owned boutique,” she states.
“Nikki’s skill set is a perfect fit for Hootenanny,” says owner Liz Tate. “Her playful creativity shows in her editing. We’re excited to bring her on board the Hootenanny staff.”
In her spare time, Nikki is an avid UltraRunner and enjoys hitting the trails wherever and whenever she can, especially in the canyons and mountains out west.
Nikki joins Hootenanny’s creative editorial staff, alongside editors Liz Tate, Graham Metzger, Sean Halvorsen and Hannah Stephans. She is produced by Executive Producer Don Avila and Associate Producer Samm Smith.
