HCRF Hosts Benefit with Leon Logothetis of Netflix Series

The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation (HCRF) hosts an evening with Leon Logothetis to benefit the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University on Monday, April 24 for. The global adventurer, motivational speaker, philanthropist and author will discuss his best-selling book and Netflix series, “The Kindness Diaries: One Man’s Quest to Ignite Good Will and Transform Lives Around the World,” at the Pickwick Theatre in Park Ridge, Illinois.
“The Kindness Diaries,” describes the inspiration journey of Logothetis, a former stockbroker who set off to travel the world on a vintage motorbike, relying solely on the generosity and kindness of strangers. During his six-month global adventure, Logothetis traveled to 20 countries with no food or pre-planned accommodations. "We hear about all the negative things happening out there," he said, "but there is so much kindness out there as well that we don't ever hear about."
A new series based on “The Kindness Diaries” is now streaming on Netflix. Logothetis hopes the show will “inspire you to travel both externally and internally, and to help those in need.” The HCRF shares his commitment to philanthropy, and invites you to share this discussion of generosity, connection and kindness.
100% of the proceeds from this event will support the HCRF’s efforts to fund vital cancer research at the Lurie Cancer Center. Tickets for the 7 p.m. program at the Pickwick Theatre, 5 S. Prospect Ave., in Park Ridge are $20 for adults and $10 for children, 16 years old and younger.
