"With movies like this, the future of indies is bright." So says The Huffington Post about the Midwest-made drama HALFWAY, whose Chicago Premiere will open the 2017 Midwest Independent Film Festival this Tuesday.
The thirteenth annual First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival will open 2017 with the Chicago Premiere of festival winner HALFWAY at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema on Tuesday, February 7th, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. This Midwest-made drama stars Quinton Aaron in the much-anticipated follow-up to his performance as "Big Mike" in the Academy Award Nominated THE BLIND SIDE, as well as a superb cast that includes Amy Pietz of CAROLINE IN THE CITY fame and Emmy nominated actor Jeffrey DeMunn (THE WALKING DEAD, THE GREEN MILE, CITIZEN X).
Ms. Pietz, a Wisconsin native and Chicago theatre veteran known for her work in THE OFFICE, DEXTER and her Screen Actors Guild Award nom for CAROLINE IN THE CITY, will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.
