Havas Producer Hudon Answers Five Questions
February 24, 2017 by Screenmag
In the latest installment of our popular feature, Havas Worldwide Senior Integrated Producer Catherine Hudon answers Five Questions with SCREEN.
SCREEN: Favorite guilty pleasure TV show?
HUDON: Naked and Afraid - I once binged watched it with my daughter for 8 hours. It's a show about what happens when you put two complete strangers - sans clothing - in some of the most extreme environments on Earth. It's totally crazy!
SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?
HUDON: Michael Hutchence from INXS two weeks before he passed. In a former life, I was a music editor for a magazine.
SCREEN: What’s the best thing you ever ate?
HUDON: Soon dooboo which is silken tofu soup with beef, seafood and vegetables with freshly made rice. It's a Korean soup/stew that I am obsessed with. I dream about it sometimes.
SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?
HUDON: "Recline into yourself." Advice given to me by the poet Amiri Baraka (whom at the time I didn't recognize) he and I sparked one of the most epic conversations of my life while I was at my favorite pub in Chicago the Red Lion, while I was in music school at DePaul. I was having an existential crisis this day, and he helped me through it.
SCREEN: Anything you’ll be doing differently in 2017?
HUDON: Having MORE fun!
SCREEN: Give us the one song/track we can’t live without that we haven’t heard of yet?
HUDON: Not sure if others could live without it, but the Bb Piano Sonata #960 by Franz Schubert, or any of his late works for that matter. I am currently listening to every interpretation I can find. These works were composed when he had late stages of syphilis and his music became a symbol of life, and that sense of life was permeated with death. These pieces became his homage to the everlasting beauty of life. Super profound.
SCREEN: Any predictions for 2017?
HUDON: In 2017 I predict that everything in life will continue to temporary. Live and enjoy it, people!!!!!
