In the latest installment of our popular feature, Chicago-based fine artist and lead colorist Maria Carretero of post-production company Carbon VFX answers Five Questions with SCREEN.

SCREEN: Most famous person you’ve ever met?

CARRETERO: I was in New York City at the BAM premiere of Phaedra(s) when I was in line for the restroom with my close friend. Directly in front of us was Faye Dunaway. Everyone, including my friend and I, knew who it was and were too afraid to say anything. Finally an older woman approached Faye and loudly asked “Are you Faye Dunaway!?” Faye said that she was and that she needed to use the restroom. It was a great moment.

SCREEN: Your go-to karaoke song?

CARRETERO: “Como una ola,” sung by Rocio Jurado.

SCREEN: Your greatest sports achievement?

CARRETERO: Running away from sports. But hey, at least I’m running, right?

SCREEN: Worst job you’ve ever had?

CARRETERO: I was working for an underground newspaper in Amsterdam at the time. A photographer at the newspaper let me take his camera gear around and take some photos. He ended up sending my photos and his photos to our client. The client picked my photos. The photographer fired me.

SCREEN: Best advice you’ve ever been given?

CARRETERO: There are never two ways to do anything, only one way. The right way.

SCREEN: Any predictions for the 2017 Chicago Cubs?

CARRETERO: Yeah! We’re going to win... right?
