It will be a full docket for the Midwest Independent Film Festival this Tuesday at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema, with festivities beginning at 6 pm. From Chicago's first look at the just-released C200 from Canon to panel on film distribution to the Chicago Premiere of Slamdance hit and critics' pick DAVE MADE A MAZE, this year-round fest has something for everyone this Tuesday.
"EPIC AND FANTASTIC" PREMIERE: First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival will present the festival and critics pick DAVE MADE A MAZE (click here for the trailer) at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema on Tuesday, June 6th, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. Fresh of its world premiere at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival, critics call this from Ohio native Bill Waterson “epic and fantastic” “…the kind of film that only comes around once in a decade.” Producer and Cleveland native John Charles Meyer will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.
CANON FIRST LOOK FRESH FROM CINEGEAR: Canon's all-new EOS C200 was just announced this week and this Tuesday, Chicago cinematographers will have the exclusive opportunity to see this amazing new camera before just about anybody else in the country. This Tuesday at the Midwest Independent Film Festival, during the Pre-Show Reception between 6:00-7:30 pm, Dirk Fletcher and Elizabeth Pratt from Canon will be at the fest to give you an exclusive first look at the C200.
IT'S ALL ABOUT DISTRIBUTION: Sell your film, show your film. Every First Tuesday, the Midwest Independent Film Festival opens the night with a pre-show panel, where the fest brings together three or four stalwarts in the independent film industry to discuss a particular topic. This Tuesday, it's all about distribution, with Music Box Films and Reid Brody and Arman Oner's new distribution company Ammo Content among the panelists.
