Yessian Expands, Adding New Staffers

Yessian Music has expanded by adding two new key staffers in New York and Los Angeles to support the Detroit-based global music company.

Angelina Powers is now a senior producer with Yessian, working out of the company's New York offices. She was formerly the owner of SuperPowers NYC, a boutique representation company for post production and music talent. Most recently she was the executive producer of Comma Music's New York office.

"I joined the Yessian team in part because of their solid reputation and longstanding history in this business as a respected, powerhouse music production company," Powers says. "I knew I was joining a strong production team with proven success and reliability, and a super talented, award-winning array of composers. In addition, I’m thrilled to be producing for Vinyl Mix, our audio post division, because I’ve long admired Weston Fonger’s mixing and sound design capabilities."

Brian Yessian says bringing Powers on board was a long-time goal for the company.

“We have known Angelina for the past eight years and have talked about bringing her on our team for a while now.” he said. "Angelina brings a wealth of knowledge from various parts of our industry, editorial, post production, music and new business. This really compliments our New York offerings with our audio post division VinylMix as well as original music production at Yessian.”

On the West Coast, Thera Conrad will head business development and sales. She was most recently the head of West Coast sales for production company Quietman.

"First and foremost I'm stoked to join Yessian because of the people," Conrad said. "I loved meeting with Michael and the team. I'm very excited about handling new business development and sales for the LA office. I see opportunities to implement new ideas and break down doors. Music is a wonderful thing and I feel so fortunate to be able to work in this industry. I was raised listening to James Taylor and Motown and have a love for all things music."

Michael Yessian says that Conrad will help the company's growing West Coast presence.

"LA has been a continuously expanding market for us," he said. "Bringing Thera on in a new business development capacity was the next piece in the puzzle to compliment our creative and production teams we have built over the past few years there. We are ready to take our west coast operations to the next level."
