IFP Chicago has launched a search for a new Executive Director, who will oversee development, programming, and membership services following the departure of Nicole Bernardi-Reis, who led the organization through a period of renewal and growth.
The new Executive Director will fundraise through cultivating donor relationships, writing grants and developing corporate sponsorship programs, oversee the Chicago Underground Film Festival, continue to develop programming to assist members with professional development and networking, and grow the organization to become an essential resource for filmmakers in the Midwest.
“The ideal candidate will have not only a passion for independent film, they will be the go-to source for media, government and academia for independent filmmaking in the Midwest,” said IFP Chicago Board President Lisa Swanson.
The new Executive Director will work with the Board of Directors to refine the organization's mission, develop a five-year strategic plan, cultivate current and new relationships with corporate sponsors, and form strategic partnerships with other film organizations and festivals. For additional information on the position or to apply, please contact the search committee and board member Christopher Johnson at ChrisJ@ifpchicago.org.
